College Trick 1: How To Help Your Hangover
September 29, 2008
First to understand why your head is hurting so freaking bad, you need to know what exactly a hangover is. An alcohol hangover is associated with a variety of symptoms that may include dehydration, fatigue, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, difficulty concentrating, sensitivity to light and noise, erratic motor functions, trouble sleeping, and lack of depth perception. Many people will also be repulsed by the thought or taste of alcohol during a hangover. The symptoms vary from person to person, and occasion to occasion, usually beginning several hours after drinking.Ofcourse you are reading this because you are randomly bored, but i assure you , after reading this you will be fully prepared for what may happen any crazy night of the week at college. This will definently make your next day a hell of a lot better. This formula has helped me multiple times in my college career, and i hope it will help you too.
Vitamin B12 and Dehydration are 2 main causes to why you feel so bad in the morning. In order to stop these from happening there are acouple of premeditated things you can do in your drunk stuper before you get to sleep.
Step 1) Drink A LOT of water . When I say a lot of water, I mean it. It will help stop the dehyrdration taking place while you sleep. Caution: you may pee the bed.
Step 2) Eat something greasy. No one really knows why this works, myth has it that it helps absorb the booze. I’m no doctor but it really does help me feel better in the morning. My beer munchie of choice… the classic cheeseburger. Fire up the foreman and throw it on, you’ll be thanking me in the morning.
Step 3) Get alot of sleep. You know what your doctor says, get a solid eight hours. Well forget that get atleast 10 or 11. This will give yourself a good amount of time to heal up before you wake up. If you wake up, then just lay down and take it easy for a while. If you find that not helping, i would suggest getting started with a huge cup of coffee, and a long shower.
Step 4) Take a multi vitamin. This will help you fill the loss of vitamin B12 as well as other vitamins you lose by being dehydrated. A problem with multi vitamins is that it may cause an upset stomach leading to some puking(but feel free to let it out).
Step 5) Try to yack. If you can get a good yack out you will feel better in the morning. Once you wake up, no matter how you feel. Be sure to down atleast 1 or 2 gatorade, or gatorade like drinks(propel, vitamin water, etc.) Eat a hearty breakfast (another cheeseburger for me) and try to get some exercise within the first 3 hours you are up. These tactics will help you overcome your hangover, trust me.
Here are some remedies that i have found on the internet:
Eat almonds, peanut butter, meals high in saturated fat, sports drinks, tomato juice, water, chicken soup, b vitamins, vitamin c, apples and bananas.
